“I don’t believe a word of it.” Sadie repeated with a look of stunned astonishment on her pretty face.

“I can’t either.” Jamie laughed as she stretched out on the bed. “It was freaking crazy.”

“Jamie, are you telling me that Sybille Lance, your new found step-sister, your new boss, and your lifetime idol, is also a lesbian…” Sadie grabbed her friend by the shoulders and shook her. “And… and she had sex with you all evening?”

“I’m telling you, Sadie, that’s how it all happened.” Jamie smiled dreamily.

“Oh my god!” The singer whined. “I’m so fucking jealous of you right now, you lucky bitch.”

“Things are finally going to look up for me, Sadie; I’m on the way to the top.” Jamie rested the back of her head on her hands and flopped down on the bed. “And I’m taking you along with me, for standing by me through all the tough times.”

“How are you going to do that?” Sadie looked down at her tall friend spread out on the bed. “You’re going to be busy with all the upward movement at Sibilance and I’m going to keep playing these little cheap bar gigs.”

“I spoke to Sybille about you.” The blonde propped herself up on one elbow. “She’s interested in hiring talented people for music tracks for the hundreds of company video catalogs and stuff.”

“How would I ever do lingerie music…?” Sadie shrugged. “I don’t know what…”

“She likes rock music; she wants that noisy stuff for her videos.” Jamie looked at her friend and gave her a shrug.

“Really.” Sadie leaned closer. “So what do I have to do?”

“She wants me to take you over on Friday, for an audition.” Jamie nodded.

“Wow!” Sadie jumped up. “That’s so cool. Imagine you and me, working together at Sibilance.”

“Yeah, it’s going to be awesome.” The blonde clapped her hands.

“Did you… tell her about us?” The smaller woman suddenly looked worried.

“Yeah, I sure did.” Jamie nodded innocently.

“Oh, shit!” Sadie put her hand on her mouth. “Is she okay with that?”

“Hell, yeah, she sure is.” Jamie waved her hands and laughed. “She asked if you’d be offended if you knew about her and me.”

“What did you tell her, since you already did it with her?” The singer was curious.

“I told her that we’re just friends with benefits.” Jamie patted her butt over her jeans. “And she said she and I could be step-sisters with benefits too. So it’s all good all around.”

“Oh, god!” Sadie cried out suddenly. “I’m going to be so wet when I see her, in the flesh.”

“I told her about your crush on her too.” Jamie laughed loudly.

“What? No way.” Sadie sat down on the bed with a groan. “Oh, fuck, now I’m going to be so embarrassed to be there.”

“She said she would like to meet you for some fun too, as well as work.” Jamie rubbed it in.

“Aw, hell, no.” Sadie shook her head in disbelief. “What’s a hot goddess like her going to want from a mousy loser like me?”
